Potatoes, eggs, and coffee beans

Image
Hi readers! Here i want to share with you a very interesting story that i came across while i was surfing through the internet. Hope you guys enjoy the story. :) Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot. He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the ...

Visit to Hukuru Miskiey

Image
We, the Heritagers Club members of Gn. AEC planned to visit and explore different historical sites in Fuvahmulah. Here I am going to share with you the different sites that we visit on completing our mission. I will provide you the important information about the places and the pictures of those. On our visit to Hukuru Miskiey, we were unable to gather much information, we searched here and there but could not get any hint of the place, when it was build and  the specialties in there. So, we requested one lady (Fathimath Ibrahim/ Hunuboli) to provide us with some information about the place, But even she was unable to provide much. But from her we came to know that at the beginning, there was a small place called "Mihuraabuge" in there. Later they built it bigger and used as a mosque. Even at the beginning it was built as a two story building. There was a big well called "Veyo" which was used by the prayers for bathing and ablution. According to her, t...

Picnic to Baywatch

Image
Baywatch!! Nice name hah! Well the place is also nice and it is a very famous place for going picnic. I heard the name a lot and was so interested to visit there. I was able to go there with Grade 6 students on an outing (for the first time). They played games which are related to the different subjects they study and from our department we also arranged a game. We planned a Treasure Hunt and it went really well. All the students enjoyed playing the game. On this trip parents also participated. We played “Lava Baazy” and football with them. Some of them were really good in singing. It was interesting. J Again, before the vacation on 21 st November 2012, we planned to go there for a picnic. We went for a half day. All of us finished our school works before noon and went there in the afternoon. We reached there around 1:30 and prepared Noodles, barbecued chicken, Sausage and coke as a drink. Together we all finished cooking really quickly and then all went to swim. I and No...

As I have star ted blogging just few days ago,  I  wouldn't  be able to provide you with any detailed information or the pictures. But I will try to give as much information as possible. I went to Sri Lanka three years ago. Me and my hubby, we went there for higher studies. The first few months that we spend there was a somewhat a struggle. But later, the days went smoothly. Together we all did a great job. We enjoyed as much as we studied. Saajid was the bo...
